Colonoxy Review
In the last few years colon cleansers have become quite popular. Billed as a health supplement to diet and exercise these products are supposed to rid your body of built up toxins, making you feel better overall. Colonoxy is a colon cleanser that promises to do all this and more.
The first thing you see when you check into Colonoxy's official website is the promise that you can change your entire life in just two weeks. That claim alone should put people on guard. However, the website also goes on to claim that this product will rid your body of years of toxins and that it is not only a colon cleanser but, also an appetite suppressant.
Colonoxy Ingredients
The Colonoxy's website lists the following ingredients for their colon cleansing pills.
- Psyllium
- Flax seed
- apple cider vinegar
- barley
- fennel, licorice, ginger, Pectin
- Proprietary blends
While these Colonoxy pills do have some good ingredients, the amounts of these ingredients per pill is not known. However, when most products list proprietary blends in their lists of ingredients this usually means that they are using fillers in order to reduce the amount of other ingredients used in their products. This usually means there is not enough of the helpful ingredients to really do the job they are designed to do. In order to determine if this is the case with Colonoxy, one needs to view the clinical studies and the independent consumer reviews.
In the case of Colonoxy, that is impossible. No where does the official site offer any links or even any suggestion that any clinical trials for their product was ever conducted. There seems to be no scientific evidence what so ever that this product can make good on any of it's claims. There is also an absence of independent consumer reviews. While there are some testimonials on the Colonoxy site itself, these testimonials are hardly unbiased. So, potential customers of this product are left wondering, Does this product work?
The simple answer is no one knows. There is simply no evidence to suggest that Colonoxy does work as a colon cleanser let alone can rid your system of years of toxin build up. There is also no evidence that this product can suppress appetite to help you lose weight, and there is certainly no reason to believe that this or any product can change your entire life in as little as two weeks.
Additional Concerns
An additional concern has to do with the length of time you take Colonoxy. Most colon cleansers are used for short periods of time to clean out the colon and then used sometime down the road to clean the colon when build up occurs again. The Colonoxy colon cleanse seems to be something you take daily, forever if that is your desire. While it may be good to clean your colon periodically, one would think that daily cleansing would clear out helpful bacteria that your colon needs and therefore could do more harm than good. This product does not address this issue.
Recommendation
In view of the fact that this product offers no proof that it can live up to any of it's claims and the fact that it is designed to be used daily rather than periodically you would probably be better off choosing a colon cleanser that can prove it can do what it is designed to do without the potential harm that may occur with use of Colonoxy.
